With the expected unveiling of the iPad 2 now just weeks away, rumours and leaks surrounding the second generation tablet have kicked into overdrive as a case for the upcoming device emerges with a cut-out for the expected SD card slot.
Aswe reported yesterday, ‘trusted’ sources close to the matter have claimed that the iPad 2 will host an in-built SD card slot when it finally hits stores in April with the latest unearthed case seemingly confirming this connectivity and file transferring addition.

Featuring more holes than a slice of Swiss cheese, the leaked iPad 2 case sports cut-outs for the expected rear facing camera addition as well as existing dock connector, volume controls, headphone jack and lock button. Additional areas have also been removed for the anticipated SD card slot arrival, larger in-built speaker and mysterious topside cut-out suggesting the possible inclusion of the Mini DisplayPort found on Apple’s MacBook devices.
Whilst it is unknown whether this rubberised case is based on released iPad 2 dimension specifications or simply one manufacturer’s best estimation of the mooted device, continued leaks and information from industry insiders has all but confirmed the inclusion of an SD card slot.
