Samsung Galaxy S II Android 2.3.4 update incoming

Samsung’s market leading Galaxy S II handset looks set to receive the Android 2.3.4 update after the next-generation Android OS was leaked running on the dual-core device.

Having launched earlier in the year sporting the Gingerbread 2.3.3 rendition of Google’s Android mobile operating system, the Samsung Galaxy S II has been snapped running a pre-release rendition of the 2.3.4 OS update.

Whilst Samsung has yet to confirm when the new OS will be made available to Galaxy S II users, it is believed the revamped OS will remove home screen lag from the device whilst improving the battery life and adding video chatting capabilities.

Outselling Apple’s iPhone 4 to become the UK’s most popular smartphone over the past two months, the Samsung Galaxy S II boasts a 1.2GHz dual-core smartphone, Super AMOLED display and 8-megapixel camera capable of shooting 1080p Full HD video content all inside a minimalist form factor.
