Windows Phone 7 update delayed until March 8th?

The first major software update for Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 mobile operating system has been delayed with the release reportedly now set for a March 8th arrival.

Previously pegged for a widely rumoured albeit unconfirmed February 7th rollout it is now expected that the Phone 7 update will be officially unveiled by Microsoft’s CEO Steve Ballmer during his Mobile World Congress speech next Monday, February 14th, ahead of a March 8th launch.

Following the late October arrival of the Windows Phone 7 operating system, the first software update, dubbed “NoDo”, will reportedly add a number of key new features to the fleet of Phone 7 supporting handsets including the launch elusive Copy & Paste function.

Having officially stated that the NoDo update will land in “early 2011,” Microsoft has to date remained relatively tight-lipped on the software that is expected to add improved marketplace search and CDMA device support to the OS.
