Sony: Over 5.5 million copies of Gran Turismo 5 sold so far

Sony announced Friday that it has sold over 5.5 million copies of Gran Turismo 5 in the game’s first 12 days of availability. Sony also announced that its total sales for the Gran Turismo franchise have surpassed 60 million units worldwide. The highly anticipated GT5 game for Sony’s PlayStation 3 is the ninth installment in the wildly successful racing�series, offering over 1,000 different karts and cars that are a stunning likeness to the actual vehicles they are modeled after.
